Crafted with exposed brick, hardwood floors, and organic textures, both of our event spaces offer a sophisticated yet relaxed venue with a flair that is distinctly Chicago. Large windows throughout the space provide breathtaking views of the city; vivid paintings from local artists grace the exposed-brick walls. We are happy to accommodate private events ranging from 20 to 200 guests.

The large windows of the East Lounge offer spectacular views of Chicago, including a view of the entire cityscape from the John Hancock Center all the way to the Sears/Willis Tower. This space can accommodate up to 150 guests reception style.
The West Room features exposed brick, high ceilings, and a stylish urban loft feel. This space can accommodate private parties for up to 50 guests.

The Events menu reflects the collaboration of Executive Chef Marc Kuchenbecker. Options include an eclectic collection of upscale nouveau-American comfort food. With fresh market ingredients, as well as a comprehensive assortment of boutique cheeses, The Tasting Room has menu options that are sure to satisfy even the most sophisticated palate.

frequently asked questions
Do you have parking available?
Yes, we have various parking options available to our patrons, including 15 spaces in a small lot on the West side of our main entrance. There is also ample street parking on Randolph, which does not require permits or the use of parking meters. Please talk to your Event Coordinator for more options, including valet service.
Is the space ADA Accessible?
Yes, we are happy to accommodate guests with mobility concerns. We have an elevator available at all times to allow easy access to our second floor events. Additionally, we have restroom facilities available on the second floor.
Do you allow DJ’s or Bands?
For private events, The Tasting Room allows either DJ’s or Bands on-site. If you are interested in this option, please mention this to your Event Coordinator, who will be happy to discuss this with you more fully.
What additional charges should we know about?
All menu prices are subject to 20% gratuity and state/city taxes of 11.5%.
Are you willing to customize the menu options?
Yes! Our Executive Chef would be happy to design a specialty menu for your event. There are numerous dietary, theme, and ethnic meal options available upon request.
Can we bring outside cakes or food items?
Due to Cook County Health Department regulations and The Tasting Room policy, foods consumed on the premises must be prepared at The Tasting Room.
Do you work with Non-Profits?
Yes, The Tasting Room is happy to work with local charity organizations. Please identify yourself as a non-profit organization when contacting the Event Coordinator and we will be happy to discuss your event more fully.
Do you host events on Sunday or afternoon events?
The Tasting Room is open Monday through Thursday from 5:00 pm to 1:00 am, Friday through Saturday 5:00 pm to 2:00am; however, we would be open to the possibility of hosting an event on a Sunday. Please contact your Event Coordinator to discuss the specifics.
Do you offer cash bars?
Unfortunately, we do not. In order to offer the level of service for which we are known, cash bars are not offered for private events.
Can we come in for a Site Visit?
Site visits are available by appointment only. Please call our Events Coordinator at 312.942.1313 to schedule an appointment.
